(PETAWAWA, ON) – Just before midnight on September 29, 2016 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter of an occupied residence on Petawawa Boulevard in the Town of Petawawa. The male suspect forced his way into the residence and brandished an edged weapon. After a brief altercation the suspect fled on foot. The suspect was known to the victim and at this time the incident does not appear to be random.

The suspect then attended Domino’s Pizza on Petawawa Boulevard. He caused damage to the restaurant and forced the delivery person into their vehicle. Police quickly located the vehicle, which was driven by the victim, on Petawawa Boulevard. Officers conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and took the suspect into custody without incident. The two victims were not injured as a result of the incidents. During both incidents the accused concealed his face with clothing.

As a result 24 year old Dennis Raymond ROLFE-BOUDREAU of Petawawa is facing the following Criminal Code charges:

  • Kidnapping
  • Disguise with Intent – 2 counts
  • Assault with a Weapon – 2 counts
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose – 2 counts
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon – 2 counts
  • Possession of a Weapon contrary to Prohibition Order – 2 counts
  • Break and Enter with Intent
  • Mischief Under $5000 – 2 counts
  • Breach of Probation

He was held for a bail hearing on September 30, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
