Assault & Robbery on Mackay Street!
Robbery under investigation by Upper Ottawa Valley OPP
The Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a robbery that took place on May 28, 2017, at approximately 2:30 am on Mackay Street between Nelson Street and Sussex Street in the City of Pembroke. The male victim was approached by a male suspect who struck the victim with a silver baseball bat. The suspect then stole a knapsack style bag from the victim containing a Bible, camouflage blanket, reading glasses and two t-shirts which were orange and green in colour. A second male suspect stood by while the robbery occurred. Both suspects fled on foot and were last observed eastbound on Sussex Street. The victim sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The first suspect, who was in possession of the silver bat, is described as:
- White male, approximately 5ft. 7in.
- Wearing a brown/grey hoody
- Poor dental hygiene
The second suspect is described as a white male with his hair being cut short right to the scalp.
