Robbery At Mackay Convenience Store

Under Investigation by Upper Ottawa Valley OPP

The Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit is investigating an afternoon robbery that took place on July 18, 2017 at MacKay Convenience on MacKay Street in the City of Pembroke. The lone male suspect, who wore a white and blue bandana to cover his face, entered the convenience store at approximately 3:45 pm on July 18, 2017. He brandished a blunt weapon and demanded cash from the clerk. The suspect fled on foot after obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as:

  • White male with a medium build, approximately 20 years old with short blonde hair, approximately 5ft 9in tall
  • Wearing light blue large-framed sunglasses with blue reflective lenses, a black tank top and black jeans
