PERSONS OF INTEREST IDENTIFIED IN THE CAREL DOUSE HOMICIDE

Hamilton Police are asking for the publics’ assistance in locating three persons of interest in the murder of Carel Douse.
Shortly after 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, Hamilton Police responded to a residence located on East Avenue North in Hamilton for a stabbing that had just occurred. When police arrived, they found 33-year-old Carel Douse suffering from a number of stab wounds. He was taken to the Hamilton General Hospital and died early that afternoon.
Investigators have determined that the initial attack began inside a barbershop located at the southeast corner of King Street East and East Avenue North. Mr Douse was then chased northbound on East Avenue North by three male persons of interest to the front of a residence where the stabbing continued.
Police have now identified three men and warrants for First Degree murder have been obtained. Police are looking for 28-year-old Daniel Wise of Hamilton, 22-year-old Samitar Hassan from Toronto and 27-year-old Alieu Jeng also from the Toronto area.
