Driving Dispute Leads To Criminal Investigation
Police Seek Assistance To Identify Person of Interest
(PEMBROKE, ON) – On the evening of October 11, 2019, just after 10:00 p.m., members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to threatening incident involving a weapon. Police discovered that a mobile dispute between two drivers took place on Pembroke Street East near Howard Street. The involved vehicles stopped in a parking lot in the 900 block of Pembroke Street East in the City of Pembroke where one driver brandished a large knife and threatened the other driver. The victim was not injured and the driver with the knife left the scene in his vehicle with two passengers.
The police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the driver with the knife who is considered a person of interest in this case. This person is described as a male, approximately 6ft tall with short hair. A photo of this person’s car, possibly a grey late-model Honda Civic, is attached.
