UOV OPP INVESTIGATING SERIOUS COLLISION
(LAURENTIAN VALLEY TOWNSHIP, ON) – The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with the assistance of an OPP Collision Reconstructionist and Technical Collision Investigator is investigating a fatal, single motor vehicle collision.
On May 15, 2021, shortly before 4:00 p.m., UOV officers, along with Renfrew County paramedics responded to a report of a vehicle laying on its side just before Dorran Road off of Highway 17. A male driver, aged 47 years old from Pembroke, was the lone occupant. He was transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
The identification of the driver will not be released at this time.
