UOV OPP INVESTIGATE SERIOUS COLLISION IN PEMBROKE
Driver seriously injured
(PEMBROKE, ON) – On May 21, 2021, just before 10:30 a.m., members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Forced Road in the City of Pembroke. Preliminary investigation revealed that a northbound motorcycle left the roadway for reasons which remain under investigation. The driver, a 46-year-old from Laurentian Valley Township, sustained serious injuries and was transported to hospital by land ambulance. The driver was subsequently flown to an Ottawa area hospital by ORNGE.
The investigation is continuing with the assistance of OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) who are on scene. As a result of the collision, Forced Road is currently closed between Boundary Road and Stuart Street. The road closure is expected to last into the late afternoon or early evening. Local detours are in place.
